What the President of Egypt could have said

On Thursday 10th February 2011, said:

Mubarak's speech should have gone something like this,"I'm Your President and I hear You. There have been a lot of Problems in this Government and some of Them have been My Fault. I have always done, what in My opinion, was best for Egypt & Her People,so Today I called a Constitution Committee and informed Them to install the Amendments, that the People of Egypt, have Demanded and Need now.
I have also told those in this Government that Early Elections need to be called,They told Me that it wasn't Constitutional and I told Them that Our Nation is in,a State of Emergency and Elections Must Be called. Election are set up for May. This will give the People some time to Form Parties and Campaign for the Office of President.
I am aware that My continued presence is a symbol of unrest and disappointment in this Government. And I agree, that's Why I have handed all Presidential Power to the Vice President. He will Lead this Nation to Early Elections and step down.
I will step aside, but I will lend My experience to Our Government,if asked to lend a Hand during this Transition period, but I will not get involved or stall any progress towards a Quick transition of Power.
Egypt's future in now in Your Hands as it should have always been.
The unrest and the Violence in Our Nation hurts Me, as a Patriot and defender of Egypt. I will do everything in My Power to Help Heal Her and Her People as Quickly as Her Government Can.
We Egyptians have moved Mountains and built Pyramids,We can move past this time of Unrest in Our Nation as one People,Christian,Coptic,Muslim,All Faiths and All Political Parties, as We have done so many times in Our Long History as Egyptians.
We need to do so Peacefuly..My only request is that the Violence stops.
Egypt,it has been My Honor to be You President. I thank You for Your trust in Me over these Years and now it is time for a New Government to Lead Our People into the Future.
Egypt has Been My Home,My Devotion and My Passion, that will never change.
I will end this by Telling You, that Your Protest has been heard and We have listened.
God Bless Egypt and God Bless the People of Egypt.
Good night and Good By"..

Mubarak could have said all of this, but He didn't.
Mubarak could have saved Face and stayed out of Jail. A Speech like this would have mended fences and helped to Quell the unrest in the streets, but No he didn't..
I don't think that the speech that Mubarak did give will do anything, but pour Salt in the Massive wound of Egypt's People. A Poke in the Eye.
I hope and Pray that I am wrong..
